Tom Izzo described his team's 85-69 loss to North Carolina as a microcosm of the season in general. Izzo believed going in, and still believes that the Spartans had a team capable of doing far more than they did. He reiterated his belief that he and his players underachieved, while also thanking seniors Tyson Walker, Malik Hall, and AJ Hoggard their effort and the lessons he learned for them.
