King Constantine II, the last monarch of Greece, died at age 82 while being treated for an unknown illness in a private hospital in Athens. His wife, Queen Anne-Marie, arranged his private funeral. The couple had been married for 58 years and had five children. They first met when Constantine, then Crown Prince, visited Denmark on a state visit with his parents and was received by Anne-Marie's parents, the King and Queen of Denmark. At first the couple's engagement was kept secret, and the wedding was postponed until 1964 due to King Paul's illness and subsequent death.
