Set for release on Miguel Campbell’s Outcross Records, the EP comprises of the title track ‘Kernal Kontrol’ and ‘B2’, with remixes of the latter coming courtesy of Da Sunlounge, Miguel Campbell and Iain O’ Hare. A bubbly melodic bassline lies at the core of ‘B2’ with synth keys and sporadic vocals sitting aloft to create a funky, alluring sound. The remixers each bring their own unique styles to the track too, exploring the funk elements and in some cases amping up the original mix to give it even more legs for the dance floor, while B-side ‘Kernel Kontrol’ shows another side to Tboy’s production remit. Multiple layers are fused with thick-edged sub and colourful melodies to round off another dynamic, soulful record from the Outcross camp. About Tboy. Born in Italy, Tboy spent years working in recording studios and on radio before settling in London and finding his production sound.
