I have never made my own music video and have no experience BUT I made this one!! 100% DIY! My husband shot it with my iPhone, we rented the black truck you see off Turo for 4 hours and got it all done in that time! 2. I almost got arrested filming it ! The Nashville PD came to the first location you see (in the first verse scene) as I was dancing around in front of the truck in that outfit haha and a) asked us what we were doing lol and b) told us even though it looked like a safe area in a good part of town, lots of drug deals go on there :/ so we had to leave 3. When we got kicked out of the first location and only had the rental truck for another 2 hours, we called my friend Tom Perkins (who is also a hit songwriter and staff writer for Ronnie Dunn) and asked if we could film at his farm nearby! 4. Tom was out of town but let us film at his farm, surrounded by his horses and cows as our audience haha. We also got stuck in a ditch in the pitch black of his property while there and his neighbors came down the mountain to tow us out with a tractor out of the kindness of their hearts. We kept filming and that's the second verse scene out! 5. I edited this entire video myself on my phone with apps and it took me about 15 hours! Again I had never done it before and this is my 1st try ! 6. The concept we had was basically: I should be getting in the car and driving AWAY from the person the song is about...but I keep going back to the same ex...you'll see red lights flashing thru the vid like red flags and I keep on dancing and going along with it like nothing's wrong ;) I think we captured it! 7. We rushed to a 24/7 car wash place as soon as we were done at the farm to try and get all the mud off the truck...it was a lot of mud... We got it back and returned just in time in that 4 hour rental window. I was wearing the outfit you see me in, in the video, the whole time (didn't bring a change of clothes because we thought we'd be in one spot the whole time) which also made things extra ridiculous ! I went through hell and back to make this hahah so...I HOPE YOU LOVE IT xoxox!
