As teachers, we can use, adapt and create online resources for teaching and learning. But evaluation plays an equally important role in education, whether delivered traditionally, in the classroom, or online. Regular assessment of the effectiveness of both our teaching and our students' learning is vital. The feedback that evaluation provides determines not only student performance or progress, it also identifies strengths as well as weaknesses and helps us to detect learning difficulties in order to address them and make plans for remodelling instruction and remediation.
