The Lazy Red Cheeks was first created in 2004, in Antwerp, Belgium. The recipe for Lazy Red Cheeks originated from the creative mind of Manuel Wouters, co-owner and cocktail maestro of the Antwerp cocktail bar SIPS. The name for the cocktail was created by Tom Barman (what’s in a name), singer of the famous Belgian rock band dEUS. Wouters learned the craft of cocktail making during a 12-year bartending career on Queen Elisabeth II, the largest and most luxurious cruise ship in the world, on which he served as Chief Bartender, before opening SIPS, in 2000.
