I wanted to make a video asking why when black children are fighting for their lives they never receive the same humane and honorable treatments as white males accused of committing crimes? Why is it that after shooting innocent black church attendees, the white male shooter is taken to Burger King? Why is it that after shooting JEAN Brandt, his white female assassin is given a hug and a Bible by the black judge? Why is that when the white male rapist from Stanford is fighting for his freedom, his father writes a letter to the judge pleading that 30 seconds should not be enough to determine the character of his son? Why is it that after the white terrorist shoots up the synagogue in California, all white media did was put documentaries together to try to make us understand that he was a good kid from a good home who was simply influenced by his friends online? Why is it that whites get to have more of their personalities shown and all we ever hear about black children when their fighting for their lives is the nature of the crimes and the number of charges they are facing? Yes! I have a problem with that. All children then should get to be presented as humans who maybe had a bad day. I don’t know. But to only stop at reporting the crime for black people? Nope. And this is why and where we need black media the most. We need black media to offer counter arguments or even to provide more context to the lives of these black men who are deliberately paraded around the internet in their worst clothes, worst of everything on the worst day of their lives. Why isn’t anyone asking: why did this happen? Why isn’t anyone going to their parents and try to get a full and better picture of these young men the way they traditionally do for white children. Why isn’t anyone reaching out to former teachers and friends and their pastors? See! Black people are always treated as DERANGED BEASTS!! Black media and black bloggers: I can’t tell you to not get your views and your coins with the ratchet low hanging fruits that our people seem to enjoy. But at some point, we must also align purpose to ratchery! We need to use our voices and platforms responsibly. And black media needs to make its numerous platforms available to our black parents who don’t understand how much the media and public opinions heavily influences the outcome of the trials of their children. We are each other’s keepers: if one is in distress we are all in distress. We are very powerful when we unite our voices to make sure that the legal system knows that we are watching and paying close attention. We need to ask why? Amir is 3 months from graduation...he is sent a prospect for the NFL. He has a gorgeous son that he loves and is all over his Instagram. Why would he risk it all? Why? Why court someone to then rape them? I have questions and you should to. Let’s not just cry and fight for Kobe because there are many Kobes now and even more young black male athletes will be targeted to make them pay for allegedly Kobe getting away with raping a white woman! Let’s not just cry or fight for rich people; but for all of our people in distress who don’t have the voice, the platforms or the money to fight as they should.
