According to the story, Arang (real name Yoon Jeong Ok), the daughter of the magistrate of Miryang, became a revengeful spirit after dying to protect her chastity. Thereafter, all the successors of the official position died suddenly after seeing the virgin ghost in their dreams. The courageous Lee Sang Sa heard the news and volunteered as the Miryang official, and found the murderer of Arang and held a funeral for her after finding her body to rest her soul. In our ‘From Miryang Arirang’, we have contrasted the sad yet lyrical intro section with the traditional Korean fast dance rhythm.
