Every South Indian meal is incomplete without Sambhar. Sambhar is made of lentils, vegetables and with a mix of lovely Indian aromatic masalas. Here i have shared my recipe of Sambhar. I hope all of you will like it. Ingredients: Toor/Arhar dal- 1/2 cup (washed & soaked) for 10 minutes Lal Masoor dal- 1/2 cup (washed & soaked) for 10 minutes Water- 4-5 cups Turmeric/Haldi powder- 1/4 teaspoon Salt- To taste Oil- 2 tablespoons Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon Curry leaves- 8 - 10 Whole dried red chillies- 2 Chana dal- 1 teaspoon Urad dal- 1 teaspoon Asafoetida- 1/4 teaspoon Onions- 2 medium sized Green beans- 1/4 cup carrots- 1/4 cup (diced) Bottle Gourd/Lauki- 1/4 cup(diced) Tomato- 1 medium sized(diced) Imli water- 4 tablespoons/ as per taste Sambar Masala- 2 & 1/2 tablespoons Sugar- 1 teaspoon For Tempering: Oil- 1 Tablespoon Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon Whole dried red chilly- 1 Curry leaves few Red chilli powder- 1/4 teaspoon Water- 2 Tablespoon Thanks for watching.
