Nyob Zoo Everyone! Here is another episode of Craft Time with Her Grandpa and also my grandma! This time, we made a sticky rice pounder called Dlaab Ncuav. The traditional wooden sticky rice pounder that makes what we call ncuav. This pounder is not perfect what so ever, I just wanted to spend a day with my grandparents and learn a little more about the ncuav pounder and how it was made. My grandparents kindly came over and made a super simple one to show you all how we use to make ncuav back in the day. It was super fun pounding it and taking turns with the fam bam since it does take a lot of energy and aiming. But I hope you all enjoy! Just for fun video :) My grandparents are MASTERS! Embracing Hmong traditions.
