(Whether you're a Wildling, a Creator, or a Sage) 1. Establish a belief system (and reassess yearly)so that you have an explanation for the workings of this universe and a map of the paraphysical. 2. Understand the history of witchcraft including its roots in oppression of people outside of the status quo and Pagan practices in general as well as how colonialism influences modern witches. 3. Make note of what you want to be, do and have in your life, where you are now, and map how you'll get from here to there. 4. Approach learning with the enthusiasm and open-mindedness of a beginner, regardless of how much you know or how long you've been practicing. 5. Integrate your light self with your shadow side through self knowledge and understanding. 6. Set up for success by keeping a record of your practice in a grimoire (or book of shadows, etc.) where you can organize all your magical information. 7. Practice Self Care and learn why it is important not only for your physical and mental health but also for your spiritual health. 8. Learn energy work practices like grounding, centering and shielding, and how you can manipulate energy flow through and around your body. 9. Practice cleansing people, places, and things of their previous energy and charge them with an energy or purpose of your choice. 10. Visualize your desired outcome and reality using all five of your physical sense: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. 11. Know what to do before, during, and after casting a spell to prepare yourself, be in the moment, and release the outcome. 12. Find a divination tool (or practice) that you enjoy and use it to help you in a variety of ways in your witchcraft practice. 13. Create a template for writing (or adjusting) spells so that you understand the different components of a spell and why you need it.
