The charger can also allow charge from your alternator and when the leisure battery is full, the solar can also charge the car battery, improving fuel economy by removing alternator load off the engine. I isolate the feed to main car battery to force solar or alternator charging depending on state of charge of the leisure battery. WHY YOU ASK?
