This year for the Christmas Ornament Challenge, I wanted to make a totally different type of ornament than I've ever done before. I chose to mount a 3D printed snowflake onto a piece of walnut and cast clear resin over the top. I then shaped the resin and wood on the lathe and parted off a disk. Overall, the project was really fun to make, and I want to try making more similar projects like it down the road.
