Special Education teacher Ashley Ortiz explains how she creates a safe classroom environment by having her students use a Calm Down Center to self-regulate and deal with their emotions. Ms. Ortiz can be seen teaching the procedure for using this area of her classroom as well as explaining the benefits of having students proactively deal with their emotions.
