A moody and misty climb up to Castle Crag from the Rosthwaite National Trust car park in Borrowdale. The mist over the Fells gave a magical and mystical feel to the walk up to the summit, where a friend was completing his 428, the second time around all the Wainwright summits. From Castle Crag we visited Milligan's Cave, where the self style 'Professor of Adventure', Milligan Dalton lived in the summer months for 50 years, offering camping and adventure holidays, until his death in 1947 at the age of 79.
