Subscribe: https://linktr.ee/AronEstocolmo All my life, I have been mistaken for a middle easterner. I am Indian/Latin American, but the mistake is understandable as most immigrant communities in my country are from the Middle East. When I do not wear my turbans or any other Indian attire, even middle easterners believe I am one of them. When I ride the blue subway line in Stockholm, I sometimes have old ladies speaking to me in Farsi. When I go to Lebanese restaurants, I often get a question or two in Arabic. Naturally, many of my friends come from these communities, and a few years back, through one of my dearest friends I discovered the writings of Kahlil Gibran. This in turn led me to take a deeper dive into the literature and subsequently also the music of the region. Over the last few years I have quietly been stealing from that musical heritage, and today I present you with the first piece of music I release based on instruments from the middle east. Theft it is, so I call it: “A crime of love and poetry”. I hope you love it as much as I do.
