The loss meme has a strange way of coming back from the dead against all odds. To fully appreciate loss, I think that you should have some backstory on late 90s/early 2000s gaming webcomics. It was during this period that there was a boom of web comics, in particular gaming web comics. Penny Arcade was a trend setter, and then different comics came out. Although many tried to find their own niche, there were also many that were simply another version of Penny Arcade. Of all of the Penny Arcade clones, Tim Buckley's Ctrl+Alt+Del rose to the top in terms of popularity. Ctrl+Alt+Del received a lot of criticism due to its often lazy art, comedy and writing, but it still managed to fill the void felt by people who simply could not get enough Penny Arcade. However, in 2008, its following was taken back by a sudden serious turn that ultimately resulted in the famous Loss comic that spawned the memes. Cyanide and Happiness as well as a number of web comics and regular Internet users were quick to parody this absurd comic. Somehow, parodies and memes based on Loss have managed to regain popularity in bursts for way longer than the average meme. #loss #memes #webcomics 📹Copy My Camera and Lighting Setup: http://amzn.to/2F0BGIv 💸 Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/whang 💸 Patreon Shout Outs: 👼Fae Rie 🐩Murfy Murf 🎤Let's Have a Discussion 🍁Jason Verhoek 🐶Keely Lemonnier 🚘Volaju 🐻Jayden Wybenga 🐦Darren Blacklock 🐻Scott Barrie 🐹Porg Thigh Meat ⚽Ryan 🐙Whang!
