The McLaren F1 remains the fastest naturally-aspirated car in the world, and its extreme performance led the brand to stripping it out for race use at Le Mans with the GTR. Its success there was celebrated with the F1 LM, a run of five cars to commemorate each GTR that competed in the 1995 race where the F1 finished first overall.
