Indonesian comic artist draws Muslim controversy Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama, Jakarta's first Christian governor in 50 years, will face his opponent in a tightly contested run-off vote on Wednesday. The man widely known as Ahok, who had been tipped to win, has seen his support erode after he was accused of blasphemy against Islam. A comic strip has now been dragged into the issue after an Indonesian artist included a reference to a Quranic verse, used by hardliners and political opponents to discredit Ahok, in his work.
