Because it’s the first 3-Burst to get Bait & Switch it actually ends being the best for both DPS and total damage (discounting Euphony, lol) which actually makes me very pleased! Linears haven’t always been great, but they are pretty good for long-ranged total damage, which Scintillation is now the best at. As I eluded just now I did also test the full Exotic Linear catalogue, and to no one’s surprise Euphony is absolutely cracked, the total damage when starting from zero is STILL higher than Scintillation and that’s for a SPECIAL AMMO linear, bonkers! The Queenbreaker also surprised me with it having more total damage than Sleeper Simulant now because of a recent buff that gave it 3 more reserve ammo and an overall 12% damage buff, thought of course it’s still largely a bit of a meme pick, but interesting nonetheless. If you don’t have access to any meta heavy options I’d definitely say Linears are a very safe pick for fights like The Witness or Oryx so definitely don’t disregard their potency, they’re just more a middling option slash stepping stone for when players are improving at doing damage.
