Short edit with the highlights of my two most sideways laps of my trip to the Nürburgring. Thanks to everyone who have watched and shared my video so far! FAQ for commenters/trolls: Q: Isn't drifting the Nordschleife against the rules? A: Yes and no. It's technically a single file, one way autobahn. Drifting is not forbidden per se, but in the event of a crash you would probably get in trouble with the police for reckless driving. Just like any other maniac out there would - drifting ot not... EDIT: It actually says "no drifting" in the rules for driving on the ring. All I can say is that they don't seem to care as long as you're not a complete idiot :) Q: Did you get banned? A: No, not even a warning. The marshalls did not seem bothered. However, I made sure to do several normal laps first so that they knew I was not some idiot going crazy and out of control on my first lap. I'm pretty sure they are experienced enough to tell the difference between a reckless idiot and, well, me... Q: How many drivers did you hold up with your sideways antics? A: None. The track was almost empty. It was the end of a quiet sunday, the lap was still 8:30-40 BTG and I have mirrors... Q: What if you had made a mistake? You could have killed someone! A: That would have to be a huge mistake, but sure, accidents do happen. That's why I made sure to abort a drift if I got close to other cars, as well as stayed well within the margins of what I am comfortable with. Keep in mind, I spend all summer doing 110mph reverse entries in this car. I can handle a little skid in third gear without killing anyone. Now, go watch the video.
