As part of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory's 2013 Technical Achievement Awards, Rengaswamy "Srini" Srinivasan, PhD, was presented with the Master Inventor Award in recognition of his 10 issued U.S. patents while employed at APL. A battery specialist and electrochemist, Srinivasan is only the 25th person in the history of the Laboratory to qualify for this prestigious award. Srinivasan's previous appointments include Lecturer at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Research Associate at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, and Research Scientist at The Johns Hopkins University. Srinivasan's passion for electrochemistry sparked from a childhood interaction with the Central Electrochemical Research Institute in India.
