Porsche 911, 997 Gen 1, PSE a.k.a Porsche Sport Exhaust Sound Test This is the OEM Valvetronic System that is activated via a button on the centre console in the car. I recently discovered a wet patch under the car in the garage. After a few checks and an inspection of the 911's underbelly, I noticed that the water pump was leaking. What because very apparent was that the most of the exhaust system had to be dismantled, but and here is the BIG BUT, all the fasteners, nuts and bolts were rusty as hell and looked like popcorn! So the car got booked into the local garage to have the whole lot replaced. So a fairly low cost water pump replacement ended up becoming a fairly expensive service. But now the exhaust sounds much more taught and there is a noticeable difference since there may have been some leaks that are now not there any longer. The Sport Mode now sounds different too so here it goes... The engine speed is from idle to around 4000 rpm. Ps. The shine you see on the car was achieved using the process and products below.
