During the 2023 spring break (mid March), my family and I visited Finland. After spending a few days in Helsinki, we hopped on an overnight train to Rovaniemi in the Lapland region. Although we stayed in Lapland for four nights and went Northern Lights hunting each night, we only saw them on the first night. Despite this, our trip was enjoyable, and I can see why Finland is known for having the happiest people in the world. If you're interested in learning about the attractions we visited, here are some details: - We took the InterCity 265 Helsinki-Rovaniemi train, which cost $47 per person. - During our stay in Rovaniemi, we booked The Arctic Home Apartment on Airbnb. It's a cozy place owned by a lovely couple named Heidi & Markus Kaihua. - Our snowmobile safari into the Arctic wilderness was operated by Sunny Safari. - We went on an 8 km husky sled ride called "Jaunt for Joy" offered by Korvalan Kestikievari Oy, located at Sodankyläntie 5901, 97540 Rovaniemi, Finland. - Our stay at the Aurora Cabin - Glass Igloo in Apukka Resort was an awesome experience. - We went ice climbing in Pyhä Lapland with Bliss Adventure, which has a website at https://blissadventure.fi/.
