In a tribute to AUB on its 150th anniversary, the members of Mashrou’ Leila recorded special arrangements of their songs, “Aoede” and “Kalaam,” from the album Ibn el Leil, at AUB’s iconic Assembly Hall. Mashrou’ Leila is a Lebanese alternative rock band formed in 2008 at AUB. The band members performing here are Hamed Sinno (BFA 2011), Ibrahim Badr (BE 2009), Carl Gerges (BArch 2011), Haig Papazian (BArch 2009), and Firas Abou Fakher (BArch 2011). The videos were directed by Toni Öyry and SISU Beirut. Additional vocals are provided by members of the AUB choir, Zaki Nassif Arabic Ensemble, and Eliane Saadeh.
