Upper Borisova Garden - around Park Hotel Moskva and the TV Tower with a drone Buy me a coffee, guys :) - https://ko-fi.com/joepsysky Photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/DSuCeWg5zN66TJnVA Locations: https://goo.gl/maps/f7jLCutUdUjG82Hw5 and https://goo.gl/maps/7YpnwNvW9g3wUz9Q9 Our weekend flight takes us to the serene autumn colors of the spacious Borisova Gradina park – the biggest park in Sofia, where I decided to visit and circle form above two of the landmarks in the area. The first part we fly in the area of Park Hotel Moskva, named after Moscow, strategically situated right across the Russian embassy. Built in 1974, It has a characteristic brutal socialistic style architecture and with its 82 meters enters the top 10 of the highest Sofia buildings at this time. The area is a diplomatic center and is very rich in embassies of other countries. We head on down the road towards the center to the prominent TV Tower “Sofia”. It was built back in 1959 and basically initiated the history of the television in our country. The tower is 106 meters high and when it was built this was the highest spot in the city, providing strategic location for the airwaves to start spreading the program of the national television and radio. I was incredibly lucky to capture the magnificent natural phenomenon occurring around Vitosha mountain – the rays of light protruding through the shroud of clouds high in to the mountain created this breathtaking display of natural wonders, putting a nice finish on the colorful carpet of trees.
