Video made in honor of France and the victims of the November 2015 Paris attacks. Personally, I find French music appealing. Many artists and their songs have sophistication and beauty that make them unique to music of other nations. To generate the top 30, the songs were ranked based on popularity. However, just because a song is popular, doesn't necessarily mean it is of good quality (*cough" Watch Me Whip *cough*). So, to make sure only the best french songs were featured on this video, I looked at many different lists and eventually made a list of all the songs that appeared in at least one of them. Eventually I came up with a lengthy list of french songs that are considered the best. After I did this, I visited the website TsorT- a site dedicated to ranking music based on worldwide popularity. I found the score of all the french songs on this list, and then ranked them based on the score. The higher the song score, the more popular it was when it was released.
