http://goo.gl/d8A2n6 - In the video I tested the loudness of two different keyboards. The illuminated one is a Logitech G710+ out-of-the-box The other one is a Logitech K310 - simple Rubberdome. While they sound a bit different the overall difference is not that bad. Keep in mind, that I do not stroke them very hard, because this is a keyboard and not an anvil. I also type with only a slight stroke (I am used to scissor switch keyboards). In the video you can hardly hear that much difference. The G710+ is damped by little rubber rings underneath the keys which do a pretty nice job in silencing. During typing you can still hear a little mettalic noise .. but very slightly. The spacebar is the loudest key on the G710 and also there is distinct click when pressing it, I have not confirmed but I think the space bar does not have any rubber dampers. But even with the rubber dome the spacebar is pretty loud compared to the other keys, Would I say, that the G710 is mcuh louder than a rubber dome or a scissor switch? No it is not that much louder. Hardly noticeable, depending on how hard you stroke the keys. The spacebar is pretty loud I think, and also a bit of disturbing during typing because you stroke the spacebar pretty often when writing some text.
