►►► BLOG POST and PHOTO GUIDE here: https://sheepandstitch.com/library/how-to-join-yarn-in-knitting-russian-join/ In this video, I'll show you how to join yarn in knitting. When you've run out of yarn, you'll need to join a new ball. There are a bunch of ways to join yarn, but the two that stand the test of time are: The Russian Join and the Spit Splice. These two yarn joins are invisible and seamless, meaning no knots! The Russian Join works with any type of yarn fibre (animal, natural and synthetic yarns) while the Spit Splice only works with animal fibres. These two yarn joins are secure, elegant, and fairly simple to work. I'll show you how to do both of them and include a tip about troubleshooting! By the end of this video, you'll know how to join yarn together using either the Russian Join or the Spit Splice.
