Speedhunters regularly features hyper-expensive sports car builds. Why did my little Datsun 280zx make the cut? Check out the article! http://www.speedhunters.com/2019/03/smiles-per-gallon-in-an-s130-280zx-a-chance-encounter-with-a-280zx/ Even in the world of Nissan, the s130 isn't one of the more "loved" models. With the GT-R and 370z dominating Nissan's performance cars, and The Datsun 240z, 260z, and 280z holding the trophy for classic nostalgia, my rusty coupe realistically never should've had a chance to be featured among the amazing builds on Speedhunters. But, this episode isnt really about a Speehunters article, but about auto enthusiasts and car culture, and the way "Car People" can find beauty in projects that others would find appalling. Because that's what my Datsun is. A project car. It's no high-horsepower GTR, nor is it a perfectly restored 240z. It's my own personal classic, and a project that will be changed and modified as long as I own it. Make sure to like and Subscribe to The Left Pedal for cool car stuff every week!
