Now First Things First Go Watch A Few Of Gwylock1 Videos They Are Really Great: http://www.youtube.com/user/gwylock1/videos This theme is from the 1986 doctor who season 23, The Trial of a Timelord. The season is broken up into 14 25-minute parts. This made the season just over half of season 22 in length. This season sees the doctor put on trial for his life due to him constantly breaking the non-interferance law of the timelords. His prosecuter, "The Valeyard" presents to the court 2 instances of where the doctor has broken the rule being set namely on Ravalox and Thorors Beta, these events are represented with the episodes "The Mysterious Planet" and "Mindwarp". The events of "Mindwarp" portray the doctor's companion Peri and her unfortunate death. In the third story the doctor presents his defence, set in the future, chosen to show how he will reform in his future. This story introduces the doctor's new companion Mel whose introduction to the doctor is never shown. The doctor and Mel stop the murderous Vervoids by killing all of them. At the end of "Terror of the Vervoids" the Valeyard charges the Doctor with genocide. In the final story it is revealed that the matrix had been tampered with by the Valeyard. The Master steps in and puts a stop to the trial. The Valeyard is then shown to actully be an entity created from all of the doctor's evil, somewhere between his 12th and final incarnations. The Valeyard wants the Doctor dead so that not only can he have the doctor remaining regenerations but so that he can be free of the Doctor's mental influence, however that influence is of minor impact. It is then revealed by the Master that Peri did not actully die but escaped with Yrcarnos and became his consort. The Doctor follows the valeyard into the matrix aided with Sabalom Glitz. It is actually the Valeyard's intention to murder all the timelord's at the doctor's trial. The doctor defeats the Valeyard, who appears to have collapsed and died and all charges are dropped. The Inquisitor then offers the doctor presidency of Galifrey but denys it suggesting that she run instead. The Inquisitor then orders the matrix repaired, however, the keeper of the matrix then turns his face to reveal that he is the valeyard.
