2018 Lexus LS500 - Cold boot up. 1. It took ~ 17 seconds for the Lexus infotainment to boot up into native maps 2. It took an additional 11 seconds for CarPlay to load Had dealer update software so it had wired CarPlay first since it wasn't standard in the '18s. Got used to wireless CarPlay in previous car (2019 BMW 330) so I looked around for options. Saw a bunch of other boot up videos on different cars but nothing demonstrated start to finish. Versus wired CarPlay, this is definitely slower (10 seconds) and there's an intermediate screen (with options) but really, it's not slow. I will say that wired Carplay can sometimes launch in ~5 seconds so a 27 second launch time is definitely inferior. However, sometimes I'm just too lazy to take out my phone from my pocket. This solves that scenario. I will add though for Lexus vehicles with the touchpad interface, when you go wireless with this setup, your haptic feedback is missing inside CarPlay. When you go back to Lexus's infotainment to adjust your seat settings for example, you will get that haptic feedback back. One more new note: There is an audio lag/delay. For instance, when I'm listening to something in Spotify and I hit the the next button... If wired: The next song almost instantly plays. If wireless with this setup: There is a ~1.5- 2 second delay before the next song starts
