IDET procedure performed on a bulging lumbar disc to help reduce compression on spinal nerves. The tip of the catheter is positioned inside the bulging disc nucleus and heated in an effort to both shrink and scar the damaged wall of the disc. This can reduce pressure on posterior nerves thereby reducing painful radiculopathy.
