Back in the Leyte province where I was born, we call this delicacy Puto Lanson or Puto Balinghoy (Balanghoy). My sister and I grew up making this using used coconut shells as molds with banana leaves for wrapping and additional flavor. Today, others use tin cans and aluminum molds. This is my version of puto cassava where I'm topping it with coconut yema and crushed roasted peanuts but feel free to use whatever molds and toppings you like.
