Hello everyone! Some of you might wonder what it's like to be a doctor, or a healthcare worker in the medical field, manning the ICU, the hospital wards and even the emergency rooms. I'm sure most of you have seen it in movies, or vlogs of other people, but in this video, I share my experience as a medical intern in one of the government hospitals in the Philippines. Interns and clerks play a role in the healthcare system as well, helping out the residents, the fellows and the consultants. In light with the recent COVID 19 pandemic, as well as the recent advice to pullout the medical interns from hospitals across Metro Manila, I want to shed light on what really goes on in the hospitals because a lot of people do not fully understand the work that doctors do in order to help each and every one of their patients. This is not an easy job and doctors go on duty day in and day out, some with no sleep even, to make sure that the patients' well-being are taken care of. Even though it pains me to be pulled out from the current hospital I am working in because I know that the manpower for the hospital has already been reduced, I hope that with this video, you guys can help in any way you can because our residents, fellows, consultants, who are our current frontliners are in need of masks, alcohol and personal protective equipment so they will be ready to face the day and help each and every patient that comes in.
