With an oxy-butane welding torch it is easy to melt coins. 10, 20 and 50 cent of euro coins are made of nordic gold, and alloy made of: 89% copper, 5% aluminium, 5% zinc, and 1% tin. I melt two of these 10 cent coins with an oxi-butane torch. The problem is oxidation.
