You are trying to break the nicotine addiction, along with breaking 2 different habits as well. Nicotine is very addictive, and this addiction is hard enough to break on its own. When trying to quit smoking, you also have to break the Social Habit of smoke breaks, going out to smoke, and smoking with friends and family; and you have to break the Physical Habit of smoking, the hand-to-mouth habit (much like nail-biting). Trying to break an addiction and 2 habits all at the same time is often too much for most people. Better would be to break the Social Habit and the Physical Habit first. Once you’ve broken these 2 habits, you can focus all your energy on weaning and breaking the nicotine addiction. This method seems more realistic, and will likely lead to much greater success. You may have heard news stories asking the question, "Is Vaping more dangerous than Cigarettes", I worry about the intentions and motivations of such news stories. Smoking, while eating a healthy diet, cancels so many of the health benefits of eating a healthy diet. Approaching your habits and your addiction with a rational, well-thought-out approach will give you the greatest chance of success.
