We, the fighters in the Warsaw Uprising, protest because we remember. At first there was a pink trinagle [used in the Nazi concentration camps to distinguish homosexual, bisexual and transgender pople], then a star [worn by Jewish prisoners] and finally the symbol that denoted us, the members of the Polish underground resistance. That fasism took milions of lives. An now, when they say that the LGBT people are not human, they want to repeat the terryfying process of exclusion. During the Warsaw Uprising we fought for the respect and dignity of all the people. All of them. Do not be indifferent! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WE PROTEST BECAUSE WE REMEMBER On the eve of the 76th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, as well as the 76th anniversary of the bloodiest murder of civilian population in modern history, the Wola massacre, the participants of the Warsaw Uprising made an extremely important appeal. The appeal was created in the aftermatch of the terrifying events of 2019, when on the streets of Białystok, before and during the Equality March, gangs of thugs organized a hunt for young people walking under rainbow flags. These events shocked especially those who saw what fascism led to and know what effects its revival may bring. Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, aka Pączek, together with Anna Przedpełska-Trzeciakowska, aka Grodzka, oppose all forms of exclusion, including attacks on LGBT + persons. They want their voice to be heard and respected. Poland has already experienced the drama caused by the dehumanization of some people by others. History must not be forgotten.
