Are you a tube user or a faker? Everyone knows modelers have their strengths that outdo real amps. But let's be honest, these companies advertise their amp modelers to sound just like the real thing. Well that just isn't true, although you can make a modeler sound great with 2 years of tweaking, the real amp is going to sound correct right out the gate. The main difference for me isn't so much "tone" but its the sonic performance. Modelers lack a lot of harmonic information which tends to sound weak and annoying after listening to it for 2 minutes. Real amps produce all of the harmonic information meanwhile subtracting harsh frequencies, this isn't possible to do with a parametric EQ. The only effect on everything is a small amount of reverb.
