LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Rana Sanaullah was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday, officials of the anti-drug body confirmed to Geo News. Rana Sanaullah, who is a Member of the National Assembly and president of the PML-N's Punjab wing, is said to have been arrested in a drugs-related case. ANF officials confirmed to Geo News that the arrest took place near Sukheke area while Sanaullah was said to be travelling from Lahore to Faisalabad. They said a raiding party of the Lahore ANF arrested the senior PML-N politician and that investigation was underway. They added that Sanaullah was travelling with his guards when he was arrested. ANF officials declined to give any further details when asked for the reason for his arrest, but said that "our mandate is the fight against narcotics". The officials said they would issue a handout within an hour and give further details of Sanaullah's arrest.
