Ukraine Military received both NASAMS and IRIS-T SLM air defense systems from western countries in order to defend against the Russian airstrikes. Both Surface to Air missile systems provide protection against aircraft, helicopters, missiles, drones, and guided weapons. NASAMS is a short- to medium-range air defense system developed by Raytheon Technologies and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace of Norway. IRIS-T SLM on the other hand, is a tactical medium-range air defense system designed and produced by the German firm Diehl Defense. So today we are going to compare these two defense systems.
