Pinel Island is a small natural island off the coast of the North East side of the island St. Martin in the French West Indies. To get to the island, you have the option to take the small ferry, a kayak, or by private boat. The island has two restaurants, Karibuni and Yellow Beach. Each restaurant offers chair and umbrella rentals and food service for lunch. This island is a wonderful escape when visiting St. Martin | Sint Maarten. The beaches face the main island which offers a spectacular and unusual beach view. The water here is incredibly calm due to the fact it faces inland where the waves tend not to crash. The swimmable area off the beach is shallow and perfect for having a drink and hanging out with friends. The busiest day of the week to go to Pinel Island is on Sunday due to the fact that Sundays are the days off for the majority of locals on the island. If you're looking for a bit less of a crowd, I recommend going on Saturdays. It will still be busy but not feel overly crowded.
