The phone was later launched as the Motorola Edge 30 Pro outside of China. Also, the last foldable phone was launched by Motorola in 2020, so it has been almost two years, and we have no new foldable phone yet. Well, all of that is going to change as on the 2nd of August, Motorola is launching two new devices at an event in China. The first is a foldable phone named the Razr 2022 and the second device is a flagship phone named the Moto X30 Pro (or Edge X30 Pro, however you want to call it). Today, Motorola gave us our first official look at the design of the Moto X30 Pro as the brand shared some images of the phone on Weibo. These images show the back & the front design. As we can see, the Moto X30 Pro has a curved display on the front with a hole punch cutout in the middle. It is worth mentioning that the Motorola Edge X30 did not have a curved display. Also, there was a variant of the X30 with an under-display camera, so we may get to see the same this time too. On the rear, the Moto X30 Pro has three cameras, and the star of the show is the main camera which features a 200 Megapixel sensor. It is a 1/1.22″ sensor with support for OIS. This is going to be the world’s first smartphone with a 200MP camera sensor. Speaking of what sensor this is, the sensor size suggests that this one is Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor. In one post, Motorola also revealed that the Moto X30 Pro would come with a 125W Gallium nitride (GaN) charger.
