Leon Paul-Phillips is the pseudonym of English musician Garth Watt-Roy - guitarist, vocalist and, apparently, the author of the musical material “London’s Underground”. In 1972 and 1975, he released conceptual instrumental records devoted to the London subway's everyday life — stations, devices, trains, and machinists. Garth Watt-Roy became known in the late 60s - early 70s for his collaboration with bands like The Living Daylights and The Greatest Show On Earth, in which he played with his younger brother, bass guitarist Norman. who later became a more famous musician than his older brother. Then Garth played in Steamhammer, East Of Eden, Fuzzy Duck, Marmalade, Limey, Q-Tips, and even Bonnie Tyler, but in the eighties his creative activity has noticeably decreased since then he prefers studio work, mainly as a session musician. About the other members of the recording “London’s Underground” nothing is known at all. According to rumors that were spread back in the 1970s and became legends to our time, the band Hawkwind took part in the work on the album, but who exactly - was not known then or now.
