**Support me on WeChat** https://www.hazzachina.com/support #后来我以为 #ChineseReact #Hazza I recently released a single in Mandarin Chinese called "I Was Wrong" (后来我以为). It has done quite well on social media in China, gaining around 1 million plays on Weibo, which is the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, and has also received quite a bit of radio airplay, which I am super stoked about. This week, I decided to send a team out onto the streets of #Guangzhou, China to find out how everyday Chinese people would react to the song before learning it was sung by a foreigner (Australian). Would they like it? Would they hate it? I was pretty nervous about finding out. After listing to the song, my friend who helped me film this video, showed them the video clip of me singing the song in Chinese - and the reactions were actually pretty heartwarming. As an Australian based in China, I do feel proud that I song I have released has actually been embraced by Chinese people, and I think that more cultural exchanges like this are exactly what we need to improve the relationship between Australia and China. Let me know what you think of the reactions, or the song itself, in the comments section below. Links to download the song are below!
