Whilst Hot Pants appears to be the only single release from The Tony Evans Band*, Tina Charles was involved with a number of Evans' projects during the early 1970s. Tina recorded some excellent cover versions with Evans as band leader, which appeared on hit record covers compilation albums. He also wrote and produced songs for the groups Wild Honey and Heritage, with whom Tina was a member during this time. Would it be correct to assume that the song title Hot Pants was inspired by the fashion craze of the day?! *Other records released by Evans went under the names Tony Evans And His Orchestra, Tony Evans Association and Tony Evans Connection.
