It's known for its art nouveau architectural style and beautiful landscape comprised of islands. Things to do in Alesund include enjoying the view from Fjellstua, visiting the Alnes Lighthouse, and strolling through the city's magnificent architecture. The infamous Atlantic Ocean Road is an 8.3 kilometer road in Norway known to be one of the world's most scenic drives! In certain seasons the water will cascade over the road. There are designated viewing points surrounding the road. It is absolutely breathtaking! Definitely one of my favorite destinations in Norway. Some roads in Norway were closed including hikes; however, it was less crowded and cheaper! We experienced some rainfall but nothing too bad.
