The Scottish Parliament’s Social Security Committee has written to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Rt Hon Damian Green MP, to highlight serious systematic problems it has identified in the new Universal Credit system and warned that problems will only get worse as a result of the UK Government’s planned closure of jobcentres in Scotland.
