Deemed by many watch enthusiasts to be a cult classic. Discontinued only a few years ago, yet some still pop up very rarely, and when they are all sold, there will be no more “new” SARB017’s left. My watch was purchased on Amazon USA as “new old stock” for $588 with all taxes and delivery included. I got the watch in 2 weeks and it was as expected when I opened its little box. I fell in love! This video is a nice little guide to this cult classic. I discuss its spec and features as well as the history of Alpinist watches, to give context to the heritage behind this model line from Seiko. I adore the brand history and feel they offer some stunning pieces that really need to be known about by the people who are unhappy with some of Seiko’s other offerings.
