Suomenlinna sea fortress is a national monument and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Finland. It was admitted to the UNESCO World Heritage List to represent the European fortress architecture of its time for future generations. The fortress, built in the 18th and 19th centuries, is today a vibrant part of Helsinki and home to about 800 people.
